Every Day Inspiration Strikes

imageThe sun was shining as we headed into a nearby town. A small shopping list turned into several treats which included chocolate and art supplies. It was an every day inspiration strike!

I love following my intuitive impulses. I had watched a programme about Georgia O’Keeffe, an artist I have long enjoyed, and became fascinated with her use of charcoal. She had the discipline to keep working with charcoal as a medium for her art until she felt she had mastered it. I though about that process of practicing over and over again every day.

I certainly understand that. Working with the Spirit World I have spent the last ten years practicing over and over, week in week out. It’s what has allowed me to explore what Spirit communication is for me. I’m also much more confident in my ability from all that practice. So I was delighted to find one of the best stocked art shops I’ve ever visited just a few miles down the road. Of course I bought some charcoal pencils and an art pad. The creative urge was filling my head with inspiration. I could have bought loads more art supplies, lol.

Then came the chocolate inspiration.

A little further up the street I discovered hand made chocolates for sale. I love when someone has transferred their passion into a business. It’s wonderful to be able to spend your day doing something you love. And then to be able to share that passion and get paid for it. I know it’s the best possible energy exchange to be involved in. In House Chocolates had a wonderful feel so I got some chocolate. I wasn’t disappointed.

If I pay attention to everything I’m eating I know when something is full of love. Food is about putting the right energy into my body. Energy that has a positive charge. I’ve had quite a few meals that radiated low energy, even if made in a place where they claim food is their passion. When I’m cooking I know my emotional state or my thoughts can distract me from making something to enjoy. Instead I’m in a rush so the food tastes rushed. Taking time to be off the grid is also time for me to enjoy making our meals. Sharing a meal, even if I’m the only one eating, is positive caring for my body. If I’m passionate about looking after the fuel I use my body will reward me by being healthier.

Later I took a walk on the beach.

The sun was dipping in the sky. Clouds were building up. The breeze was getting stronger. I crunched along the sand feeling the pull of the sea. All that water energy. I took the opportunity to add to my collection of shells. Their colours, shapes and patterns are another inspiration. The shells live I that flow of water. Out of it they are the skeleton of the being they were. I felt the waves of emotion represented by the water. I know that I have built up a bony skeleton of old energy around myself because I find living in the flow of emotions a challenge.

I’ve written about how emotional energy gets stuck because of our conditioning as humans. Being able to express ourselves freely is a daily challenge. Conventions kick in so we suppress certain feelings. I’ve also learned that our intuitive senses get blocked by that stuck energy. Releasing old feelings is an important part of rediscovering our spiritual self. I’m shedding my shell, slowly but surely. My aim is to be like the sea. Free flowing. Letting the emotions ebb and flow naturally. As I felt this surge of understanding I knew I had to create. That’s what freeing up feelings does. It makes me want to create more, connect more, explore more.

Back at our temporary home I picked up my pastels.

I spent a peaceful hour capturing the energy of the beach. Feeling the fluidity of my feelings I let them move outside the skeleton of social expectation. Inspiration is everywhere every day. All I have to do is notice and flow with it.

Day 255 of my blogging challenge.
